Building Jaya Coastal
Under his leadership, Jaya Coastal grew into a fast-growing group offering comprehensive one-stop marine services, including new shipbuilding, ship construction, ship repair, offshore support vessel (OSV) chartering, Ro-Ro passenger and vehicle ferry services, and related marine support services.

Contribution to Sarawak and the Region
He played a vital role in contributing to Sarawak’s economic development and successfully expanded operations across Sarawak, Sabah, Labuan, and Brunei Darussalam, creating employment opportunities for hundreds of locals, including skilled seafarers and maritime professionals.

Service to the Nation
As a Mejar (K) Dato' David Ling Kiong Hua with Angkatan Tentera Malaysia Regiment 510, he proudly served the nation. He provided valuable maritime logistics assistance during natural disasters, including flood relief efforts and search and rescue operations, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to the safety and well-being of the community.

He believed deeply in teamwork, valued his people, and always emphasized the importance of family. Today, under the leadership of his son, Mejar (K) Wilson Ling, Jaya Coastal Group of Companies continues into a new chapter of growth with the same dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence that its founder championed.
